Digital Creators Club

Recurring classes for youth ages 8 to 12 to explore more conscious and productive use of technology and their devices. Club members enjoy hands-on instruction in digital media, arts technologies, and content creation and work on collaborative group projects that will be presented at an end-of-semester showcase. Small group classes limited to 10 students.

Club Details and Logistics

What to Expect: Using instruction in digital media and arts technologies as entry points, club members will explore conscious and productive participation in digital society. Each semester will feature a different  theme for students to tackle with other club members through content creation. Guided by experienced arts educators, digital media specialists, and invited guest presenters, students will work together on collaborative digital media projects and present them at an end-of-semester showcase.

Student Showcase: Participants are expected to commit to attending all club meetings and presenting their group project at the end of the course series.

Prerequisites/Equipment: No previous arts experience or special equipment required. Necessary equipment will be provided for use during class.

Age Requirement: Club topics and activities are suited for ages 8 and above. To ensure participants get the most out of this experience, younger siblings will not be allowed to participate in club activities. Parents/caretakers should plan accordingly.

Parents/Caretakers: This is not a dropoff program. Parents/caretakers must remain onsite, but it is not required for parents to remain inside the classroom or physically assist their children during programming.
